Starvex — Support

Starvex: Space Shooter is an endless vertical shooter for iPhone and iPad. If something is broken, confusing or just not fun, write to us — every message is read by the person who made the game.

Email tom.manger10@gmail.com. We aim to reply within two business days. To help us reproduce a problem, please include your device model, your iOS version, the version of Starvex from the App Store listing, and what you were doing when it happened.

How the game works

• Controls. Drag anywhere on the screen to steer your fleet. Your ships fire on their own.
• Ships and lives are separate. Colliding with an enemy or an obstacle costs a ship. Letting an enemy escape past you costs a defence life. Running out of either ends the run.
• Gates. Fly through a gate between waves to take the upgrade printed on it — more ships, more damage, faster fire, shields, bounty or an airstrike. Some gates trade one thing for another.
• Hulls. Every five gates your whole fleet refits into a stronger class, from Scout up to Celestial Omega.
• Bosses. A Dreadnaut arrives every ten waves, each one bigger and tougher than the last. Beating one jumps the highway into a new, procedurally generated galaxy.

Common questions

Does Starvex cost anything?

No. The game is free and has no in-app purchases.

What are the ads for?

There is one optional rewarded video: when a run ends you may watch it to continue that run once. You never have to watch it, and there are no other ads anywhere in the game.

The ad did not load, or did not give me my continue.

Ad availability depends on your network and on the ad networks themselves, so an ad is not always there to show. If an ad fails or you close it early, the continue is not granted — that is deliberate, not a bug. If you watched a full ad and still lost the run, email us with the time it happened and we will look into it.

Did I lose my high scores?

Progress is stored on your device only. Deleting and reinstalling the game, or moving to a new device, starts you fresh. There is no account to restore from.

How do I stop the game from using data?

Starvex plays fully offline. Turning off its network access in Settings → Starvex simply means no rewarded ad is offered.
